BetaThink is a growing collection of AI-powered learning tools developed by Prof. Rajiv Garg together with his research and teaching assistants. Each tool is designed to improve learning outcomes, and each one is in beta: tested in real courses and refined with feedback from the students who use it.
The research on learning is clear about what helps most: timely feedback, practice at the right level of difficulty, and time spent applying ideas rather than only reading about them. AI makes these things possible at the scale of a full class. BetaThink tools are built around these principles.
Ask questions any time and get explanations matched to what you already know, with follow-ups when an idea doesn't click.
Tools answer from the instructor's own readings, slides and notes, and point to the source, so help stays aligned with the class.
Quizzes, flashcards and study sessions adjust their difficulty to each student and target the topics that need more work.
Business cases, simulations and interview drills let students make decisions, see the consequences and reflect on them.
Students get specific feedback within seconds instead of days. Instructors see where the class is struggling and adjust their teaching.
Instructors choose the materials, review the AI's behavior and approve grades. AI supports the teaching; it doesn't replace it.
Dozens of tools are already deployed or in development. Each one is also a project: research and teaching assistants design, build and evaluate it, which gives them real experience developing AI systems.
Ask questions and get answers based on the course materials.
Build mastery with adaptive practice and quick feedback.
Apply concepts to realistic business decisions.
Connect what you learn in class with the job market.
Access is by invitation: after you sign in, your instructor assigns the tools for your course.
You are encouraged to use these tools throughout the course. Every question you ask and every piece of feedback you share helps make them more useful for you and for future classes.
Sign up with your university email so your instructor can find you.
Your instructor assigns the tools for your course. They'll appear on your dashboard.
Report what helped, what confused you and what you wish existed. Every piece of feedback is read.
BetaThink is a working lab. Research and teaching assistants turn ideas from the classroom into working software and study whether the tools actually improve learning. Students who use them see applied AI up close and help shape what gets built next.
Tell us what worked, what didn't, or a tool you'd like to see. Feedback is anonymous unless you add your email.
BetaThink is developed in Prof. Garg's AI & Analytics (GAIAR) Lab, where research on artificial intelligence meets teaching practice. The lab builds and studies AI systems that help people learn, decide and work better, and BetaThink is how those ideas reach the classroom.
